Strathfield Law is seeking a Property Lawyer/Conveyancer to join our growing legal team on a full-time basis. This is an excellent opportunity for a lawyer or a conveyancer with 1-2 years post-admission experience (1-2 PAE) to develop their conveyancing and property law expertise within a supportive and dynamic practice environment. Based in Enfield, NSW 2136, this role will see you managing residential and commercial property transactions, providing legal advice on property matters, and building strong client relationships. This position is fundamental to our service delivery and offers the chance to work on diverse property matters whilst developing your professional expertise in a collaborative team setting.
Key responsibilities
- Conducting residential and commercial property conveyancing transactions from instruction through to completion
- Preparing and reviewing contracts for sale, transfer documents and other property-related legal documentation
- Managing due diligence investigations including title searches, local authority searches and planning enquiries
- Liaising with clients, real estate agents, financial institutions and other practitioners to facilitate smooth transaction completion
- Providing legal advice to clients on property matters, including rights and obligations associated with property ownership
- Handling settlement arrangements and ensuring compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements
- Maintaining accurate file records and ensuring compliance with practice management procedures
- Contributing to the continuous improvement of conveyancing processes and client service delivery
What we're looking for
- Admission to the legal profession in New South Wales or a licensed conveyancer
- 1-2 years post-admission experience in property law, conveyancing or a related legal practice area
- Solid knowledge of property conveyancing practices, procedures and relevant legislation
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain complex legal concepts clearly to clients
- Proficiency in legal research and the ability to identify and analyse legal issues accurately
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple transactions simultaneously and meet deadlines
- Attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in document preparation and file management
- Proficiency with PEXA platform, legal practice management software and Microsoft Office applications
- A collaborative approach to working within a team environment with a commitment to providing excellent client service
- Preferred: Previous experience in a conveyancing firm or in-house legal team with exposure to residential and/or commercial property transactions
