Automotive Mechanic – Full Time

We are looking for a skilled and reliable Automotive Mechanic to join our team at Opposite Lock Cardiff in Cardiff, NSW.

As a full-time Automotive Mechanic, you will be responsible for servicing, diagnosing and repairing a wide range of vehicles, with a strong focus on 4WDs and light commercial vehicles. You will also have the opportunity to work on vehicle upgrades, suspension and 4x4 modifications.

About the role

We are looking for a skilled and reliable Automotive Mechanic to join our team at Opposite Lock Cardiff in Cardiff, NSW.

As a full-time Automotive Mechanic, you will be responsible for servicing, diagnosing and repairing a wide range of vehicles, with a strong focus on 4WDs and light commercial vehicles. You will also have the opportunity to work on vehicle upgrades, suspension and 4x4 modifications.

What you'll be doing

- Carry out general mechanical servicing, maintenance and repairs
- Diagnose mechanical faults and complete repairs efficiently
- Perform brake, suspension, steering and driveline repairs
- Carry out suspension upgrades and other 4WD modifications
- Conduct vehicle inspections and identify required repairs
- Work on a wide range of 4WDs, utes and light commercial vehicles
- Ensure all work is completed to a high professional standard
- Maintain a clean, safe and organised workshop
- Follow all workplace health and safety requirements

What we're looking for





- Qualified Automotive Mechanic / Light Vehicle Mechanic
- Relevant Australian trade qualification or equivalent
- Strong mechanical diagnostic and problem-solving skills
- Experience working on 4WDs and diesel vehicles is highly regarded
- Suspension and 4WD modification experience is an advantage
- Ability to work efficiently in a busy workshop
- Strong attention to detail and pride in workmanship
- Reliable, punctual and able to work well as part of a team
- Valid driver's licence
