About the Role

This role is predominantly gardening-focused, with around 75% of your time spent on gardening duties from September to May (9 months). During winter (June – August), gardening demands ease and you'll shift into general Handy Person duties to support the wider maintenance team.

Key Responsibilities

- Maintain hotel gardens and outdoor grounds to a high standard, including planting, pruning, mowing, watering and general landscaping upkeep (predominant focus,



Sept – May).
- During winter months (June – Aug), pivot to Handy Person duties - executing timely, quality repairs across hotel facilities and responding rapidly to work requests and service calls.
- Show initiative - you don't wait to be told. Spot defects, log work, and proactively maintain our grounds, equipment and public areas.
- Provide warm, friendly service to guests, quickly addressing their needs, and providing assistance to other departments.
- Ensure a clean and safe working environment and operate with a full knowledge of all WH&S; guidelines.
- Report urgent or dangerous facility matters directly to management and expertly coordinate with outside trades for complex issues.

What You'll Bring

- Proven experience in gardening and grounds maintenance (planting, lawn care, pruning, general landscaping).
- Proven ability in routine maintenance and minor repairs (e.g., plumbing, electrical, basic carpentry, general facility upkeep) to support winter Handy Person duties.
- An enthusiastic, service-oriented approach that aligns with our goal to make the connection.
- The ability to work independently, manage your tasks, and log your work accurately.
- Unwavering commitment to maintaining a safe work environment for yourself, your team, and our guests.
