About the Role

The Senior Graphic Designer works within the Design Unit todeliver professional graphic design services across the Departmentfor Setting and Water and other South Australian Governmentorganisations.
The role develops creative and practical design solutions across arange of print, digital and multimedia formats, while maintainingthe integrity and consistency of visual identities within the DEWbrand architecture and other relevant client identity frameworks.This includes work across some of South Australia's most recognisedenvironmental and visitor brands, including National Parks andWildlife Service South Australia, Cleland Wildlife Park, Seal BayConservation Park, Naracoorte Caves National Park, Botanic Gardensand State Herbarium, Green Adelaide and the state's LandscapeBoards.
The role manages multiple design projects, priorities, timelinesand budgets, and provides specialist design advice and productionexpertise to ensure communication materials meet clientrequirements and support communication, engagement and marketingobjectives.
No two weeks are the same. Projects range from publications, annualreports and digital content through to visitor information,interpretation, signage, campaigns, illustrations, presentationsand environmental communications.

Contract

Temporary backfill contract for6months

Desirable Qualifications





Tertiaryqualifications in Visual Communications (or other relevantdiscipline) are desirable.

Special Conditions

- May be required to participate in responses to stateemergencies or associated duties.
- You must be an Australian citizen, permanent resident, orprovide evidence that you hold a valid working visa that allowsyou to work in Australia without restrictions.
- A current class “C” driver’s licence and willingness andability to safely operate department and Fleet Vehicles isdesirable.
- Inter and intrastate and remote area travel is required,including travel in light aircraft.
- May be required to undertake intra or interstate travel,occasional overnight absences, and work outside of the normalhours of work.
- This role has been identified as a Position ofTrust.You will be required to provide a valid NationallyCoordinated Criminal History Check prior to being employed,which is required to be renewed every three years before DEWwill cover the cost of renewal.

A successful applicant who is not currently employed by theDepartment for Environment and Water will be required to have anoriginal photoidentification document sighted and provide avalid Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check (NCCHC) issuedwithin the last 12 months.

Remuneration

ASO5 ($92,122 min - $102,456 max)p.a.
