Job Description

Cloud Context Pty Ltd Senior Software Engineer Cloud Context is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join our growing engineering team and help build, enhance and support up-to-date cloud‑native software solutions for customers across Australia. This role is ideal for an experienced engineer who enjoys solving complex technical challenges, designing scalable architectures and delivering high‑quality software in fast‑paced environments. You will work across the full software development lifecycle, contributing to architecture, development, testing, deployment and ongoing optimisation of enterprise‑grade applications.

You will be responsible for developing backend services and APIs using Python, building modern web applications using JavaScript and related frameworks, and contributing to secure, high‑performing cloud platforms hosted in Microsoft Azure. Working closely with product, operations and consulting teams, you will help deliver innovative solutions that solve real business problems for our customers. Key responsibilities include software design and development, technical leadership, code reviews, automated testing, CI/CD pipeline management, database development and performance optimisation.

You will also contribute to cloud architecture, application security, monitoring, disaster recovery planning and platform reliability initiatives. The successful candidate will have strong experience with Python, JavaScript, REST APIs, relational and NoSQL databases, Git‑based development workflows and modern DevOps practices.



Experience with Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, Azure Pipelines, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Microsoft Azure and cloud security best practices will be highly regarded.

Familiarity with containerisation technologies, infrastructure as code and modern frontend frameworks such as React or Vue.js is advantageous.
