Town and Country Physiotherapy opening January 2027, will be Bundaberg and the Wide Bay region's newest specialist physiotherapy service, dedicated to helping people with hip and knee conditions move better, recover further, and stay active for longer.

Led by A/Prof Anthony Murray Hip & Knee Surgeon - the new opportunity is tethered to our Hip and Knee replacement surgery practice 'Town and Country Orthopaedics'.

Physiotherapy is an incredibly diverse field with in-numerous different specialties. As a hip and knee clinic - we currently deal with solely problems pelvis to knee. We are seeking a motivated, supportive and dedicated qualified/s with a keen interest in hip and knee pathology, care and rehabilitation, to grass roots join a practice that manages these conditions in our community.

We follow that healthcare should be evidence based, personalised, and of uncompromising quality. Every patient under our care will receive a carefully considered treatment plan designed around their condition, their goals, and where they want to be - not a one-size-fits-all protocol.

We will provide bespoke physiotherapy and rehabilitation programs for people living with chronic hip and knee conditions, arthritis, persistent pain and those recovering from surgery. Our programs will include trochanteric pain syndrome management (TPS), GLA:D® arthritis (and similar) programs, arthritis prehabilitation and post-surgical rehabilitation, as well as long-term joint health programs incorporating exercise, Pilates,



yoga and strength-based care.

We will also offer additional alternative treatment options for people who have not achieved the results they hoped for with traditional therapies, including Radiotherapy in partnership with a specialist radiation oncologist, injectables, tendon Platelet Rich Plasma, along with alternative therapies such as SWT and red light therapy, alongside evidence-informed physiotherapy and exercise rehabilitation. We will have an accredited Sports Medicine Physician joining the practice to further enhance the provision of care and scope of practice for those involved - both patient and provider.

Research opportunities are encouraged also from practicing physiotherapists wanting to further their professional positions - with Dr. Anthony Murray an Associate Professor with the University of Queensland School of Medicine. Particular interest to the Direct Anterior Approach hip replacement, and robotics and augmented reality in knee replacement - with some of the highest volumes in Queensland, and Australia, of these surgeries performed annually - allows a breadth of studies to be conducted, particularly in the setting of modern data collection.

Wage will be subject to the successful applicants specialty lower limb expertise interests, experience and training. We will be a practice remunerating above award wage to the correct individual/s - to reward the skillsets of the individual, and encourage and foster a team environment.
