Safearth is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer with at least three years’ relevant experience and a practical, hands‑on approach to join our Brisbane team.

This is an opportunity to work alongside recognised industry experts on projects across power, renewable energy, rail, mining, water, oil and gas, and critical infrastructure. You will develop specialist expertise while gaining exposure to both technical consulting and field‑based engineering.

About the Role

As an Electrical Engineer at Safearth, you will contribute to a diverse range of consulting, design and field-testing projects.

Your work may include:

- Designing and assessing earthing systems
- Undertaking lightning protection design and assessment
- Conducting electrical safety audits and incident investigations
- Completing electromagnetic induction studies
- Performing onsite testing, data collection and technical assessments
- Analysing results and preparing clear, high-quality technical reports




- Working with clients and project teams to solve complex electrical problems
- Contributing to projects involving power, instrumentation, communications and pipeline systems

This role combines office-based engineering with client interaction, travel and onsite testing. It offers genuine variety, technical depth and the opportunity to see your engineering work applied in real‑world environments.

About You

You will be an Electrical Engineer who enjoys solving complex technical problems and is equally comfortable working in the office, engaging with clients and undertaking practical work onsite.

You will bring:

- At least three years’ relevant electrical engineering experience
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capability
- A practical, hands‑on approach to engineering
- Transparent written and verbal communication skills
- The ability to engage confidently with clients and technical teams
- A proactive, self‑motivated and collaborative working style
- A strong commitment to safety and quality
- An interest in developing specialist technical expertise

Experience in specialist earthing is not essential. We are looking for a capable engineer with strong fundamentals,



curiosity and a willingness to learn from recognised experts in the field.

Desirable Experience

Experience in any of the following areas would be highly regarded:

- Power system modelling tools, such as DIgSILENT PowerFactory
- High‑voltage or low‑voltage power systems
- Engineering consulting or client‑facing project delivery
- Field testing, commissioning or site-based engineering
- Technical report writing

Essential Requirements

- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or an equivalent qualification
- At least three years’ relevant engineering experience
- Current Australian driver’s licence
- Willingness and ability to travel for site work
- Current Australian working rights
