Indian Yarri Pty Ltd t/a Baba Sweets is located at 12-13/211 Leakes Rd, Truganina VIC 3029. It is a restaurant that serves and sells authentic, handmade Indian desserts and savory Indian delicacies.

Position

We are seeking a highly skilled, motivated, and enthusiastic individual with relevant qualifications to join our team as the Full-time Chef/Cook.

Skills and Experience

n

n
- Prepare dishes as per the menu and customer needs
n
- Unpacking, inspecting, and dating deliveries of vegetables, fruits, and other ingredients before placing them in the in-store refrigerator or freezer.
n
- Arranging food to comply with first-in-first-out standards and checking stored foods for freshness
n
- Inspect food preparation and serving areas to ensure observance of safe, sanitary food-handling practices.
n
- Turn or stir foods to ensure even cooking.
n
- Season and cook food according to recipes or personal judgment and experience.
n




- Observe and test foods to determine if they have been cooked sufficiently, using methods such as tasting, smelling, or piercing them with utensils.
n
- Weigh, measure, and mix ingredients according to recipes or personal judgment, using various kitchen utensils and equipment.
n
- Sharpen choppers, knives, slicers, and grating machines
n
- Preparing and organizing grills and buffets to make sure in working order.
n
- Check all cooking utensils and equipment are clean and ready for a full shift.
n
- Prepare sauces and curries.
n

Qualification

n

Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or higher in a related field is required

n

At least one year of relevant experience

n

Remuneration

n

The successful candidate will be paid a salary of $75,000 to $85,000 plus superannuation.
