Job Description

Fintry Autos is seeking an experienced Mechanic to join our team on a full-time basis at our Wongawallan QLD 4210 location. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing and maintaining a wide range of vehicles to ensure they meet safety standards and customer expectations. As a key member of our automotive team, you will play an essential part in delivering high-quality service and maintaining the reputation of Fintry Autos within the local community.

Key responsibilities

- Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults using diagnostic equipment and visual inspection techniques
n
- Perform routine maintenance services including oil changes, filter replacements, brake inspections and fluid top-ups
n
- Repair and replace vehicle components including engines, transmissions, suspension systems and brake systems
n
- Conduct pre-delivery inspections and safety checks on completed work
n
- Maintain accurate records of work performed, parts used and time spent on each job
n
- Communicate effectively with customers regarding repairs needed, timelines and costs
n
- Keep the workshop clean, organised and safe in compliance with health and safety regulations
n
- Utilise workshop equipment and tools safely and responsibly
n
- Stay current with vehicle technology and repair techniques through ongoing training
n

What we're looking for

n

n
- Valid automotive mechanic qualifications or equivalent trade certification
n




- Minimum 2-3 years of hands‐on experience as a qualified mechanic
n
- Strong knowledge of vehicle systems including engines, transmissions, electrical systems and brake systems
n
- Proficiency in using diagnostic equipment and workshop tools
n
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and service specifications
n
- Excellent problem‐solving skills and attention to detail
n
- Strong communication skills and customer service orientation
n
- Current driver's licence
n
- Commitment to health and safety practices and regulations
n
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new vehicle technologies
