TESS Search Partners is partnering with Beltech Group to appoint an experienced Operations Manager based in Brisbane. This is a key leadership appointment with responsibility for the performance of the group’s fixed plant maintenance and metals fabrication operations, supporting clients across mining and heavy industry. Reporting to the Managing Director, the Operations Manager will oversee operational delivery, workforce performance, commercial outcomes and business growth, while ensuring solid standards across safety, productivity, quality and cost control.

The Operations Manager will have broad responsibility across day-to-day operations, including workforce planning, workshop activities, FIFO mobilisation, shutdown readiness, suppliers and project delivery. The role will ensure contracted work is delivered safely on time and to the required quality standards, while managing budgets, costs and overall business performance. A key part of the position will also be maintaining existing client relationships, identifying new business opportunities, preparing estimates and RFQs, monitoring tender opportunities and submitting commercially sound tenders that support continued growth.





The successful candidate will have around five years of experience in a similar operational leadership role, ideally within mining, fixed plant maintenance, fabrication or general heavy industry. Experience managing and mentoring a diverse workforce, including FIFO personnel, will be important, together with practical knowledge of workforce mobilisation, site readiness, shutdowns and workshop operations. Strong commercial capability across estimating, tendering, budgeting and cost management is required, alongside the ability to build trusted client relationships and identify opportunities for new work. Exposure to ISO management systems and platforms such as SAP, Ellipse or similar will also be valuable.

This role will suit a hands-on and commercially focused Operations Manager who can balance people leadership, operational delivery and business development.
