Chris Watson Travel is looking for an enthusiastic person to join our team as a Trainee Travel Consultant.

You don't need years of travel industry experience. We're looking for someone with the right attitude, a genuine love of travel and people, and a willingness to learn. We'll provide the training, mentoring and hands-on experience to help you build the skills you need to become a successful Travel Consultant.

As part of our traineeship program, you'll learn the travel industry from the ground up while working alongside an experienced and supportive team.

What you'll be doing

You’ll work alongside our experienced consultants while learning how to:





- Help clients plan memorable holidays in Australia and around the world
- Research destinations and recommend the right travel experiences for each client
- Prepare quotes and detailed travel itineraries
- Book flights, accommodation, cruises, tours, transfers and travel experiences
- Assist with passports, visas, travel insurance and other travel requirements
- Communicate with clients, suppliers and travel partners
- Manage booking changes and assist clients when their plans change
- Provide exceptional service from the first enquiry through to the client's return home

- Build lasting relationships with our clients

Who are we looking for?

We’re looking for someone who:

- Has a genuine passion for travel and customer service
- Loves working with people and helping them
- Has excellent communication skills and a friendly, positive attitude
- Is organised and has strong attention to detail
- Is confident using computers and willing to learn new systems
- Can work both independently and as part of a team
- Is eager to learn and build a long-term career in the travel industry
- Brings enthusiasm, initiative and a willingness to have a go

Previous travel industry experience is not essential. We’re more interested in finding the right person who shares our passion for travel and looking after our clients.
