We are currently seeking a skilled and proactive Pipe Layer Crew Leader to join our client's experienced and capable team immediately.

This is an excellent prospect for an experienced civil construction professional who thrives in a hands‐on leadership role and has extensive knowledge of pipe laying, drainage systems, and underground services.

n

About the Position

n

As a Leading Hand, you will play a key role in overseeing site operations while working alongside your crew to ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards.

n

You will be responsible for coordinating daily activities, maintaining productivity, and ensuring all works comply with project specifications and safety requirements.

n

Key Duties

n

n
- Supervise and lead civil pipe laying teams in office.
n
- Set out, install, and maintain stormwater, sewer, and drainage infrastructure.
n
- Interpret construction plans, drawings, and levels accurately.
n
- Ensure all work is completed in accordance with project requirements and quality standards.
n
- Coordinate daily workloads and communicate effectively with Site Supervisors and Project Managers.
n
- Operate and work safely around excavators, trenching equipment, and other civil machinery.
n
- Perform trenching, bedding, pipe installation, backfilling, and related civil construction activities.
n
- Promote and enforce workplace health, safety, and environmental compliance.
n
- Complete site records, reports, and required documentation.
n

About You

n





To be successful in this role, you will possess:

n

n
- Demonstrated experience as a Civil Pipe Layer and/or Leading Hand.
n
- Strong understanding of drainage systems, underground services, and civil infrastructure projects.
n
- The ability to read and interpret plans, drawings, and set‐out levels.
n
- Sound knowledge of civil construction methods and best practices.
n
- Excellent communication, leadership, and problem‐solving abilities.
n
- A strong commitment to health and safety on‐site.
n
- Reliable transport and a positive, hardworking attitude.
n
- A current White Card (essential).
n
