Skills Required:

- Customer service skills, patience and understanding of elders needs
n

- Flexibility to work a minimum of 3 days a week (Monday to Friday)

- School parent friendly hours
n
- Able to work minimum shifts when required 1 - 2 hours+
n
- Excellent communication skills - able to speak basic Greek or Italian
n
- Strong empathy and compassion towards others
n
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
n
- Good organisational skills and attention to detail
n
- Ability to remain calm under pressure
n
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations in the social care industry

Responsibilities:

n

As a Care Professional, you will be responsible for assisting clients with their daily activities, promoting their independence and wellbeing, and ensuring their physical and emotional needs are met. This is a casual position with flexible working hours.

n

- Assist clients with maintaining a clean-living workplace by performing light housekeeping duties.
n
- Provide direct care assistance to clients including personal hygiene support (qualified Cert III only staff)
n
- Promote independence among clients by encouraging them to participate in activities that enhance their physical and mental wellbeing.
n
- Social support, taking people out for a coffee or lunch, or sitting and having a chat and cuppa at home
n
- Establish positive relationships with clients through effective communication, active listening, and understanding their individual needs.
n
- Maintain accurate records of client interactions including observations made during visits or shifts
n
- Report any changes or concerns regarding the client's health or well-being promptly to the appropriate supervisor or healthcare professional.
n
- Comply with all relevant policies, procedures, guidelines, and regulations related to social care practices.
n

Qualifications:

n

n
- Qualification in Aged Care, Disability or Individual Support would be ideal or nursing students please apply.
n
- Previous experience working in the social care industry is an advantage but not mandatory.
n
- A valid Australian driver's license and access to a reliable registered vehicle and insurance
n
- Australian Federal Police Check (or willing to obtain one)
