This is a full-time role based in Yarrabilba, Queensland, a rapidly growing community with a thriving hospitality scene. As a Commis Chef, you will play a crucial part in delivering exceptional dining experiences to our guests.
What you'll be doing
- Assisting the Head Chef and Sous Chef in the daily preparation and cooking of meals in a fast-paced hotel kitchen setting
- Ensuring the highest standards of food quality, presentation and hygiene are maintained
- Collaborating with the team to develop and implement new menu items
- Undertaking general kitchen duties such as stock control, food preparation and cleaning
- Providing excellent customer service to hotel guests and restaurant patrons
What we're looking for
- Minimum 1 year of experience as a Commis Chef or in a similar role within the hospitality industry
- Strong knowledge of food safety and hygiene regulations
- Excellent time management and multi-tasking abilities
- A team player with a positive attitude and passion for delivering outstanding customer service
- Formal culinary training or qualifications would be highly regarded
