Randstad has partnered with a major Victorian State Government regulatory authority to recruit a Building Advisor (VPS 5).

This position has become available following a recent internal promotion. Key Responsibilities:

n

Provide high-level technical guidance and subject matter expertise on complex building registration and licensing applications.

n

Prepare clear, succinct technical reports and briefs to support informed, consistent decision-making.

n

Engage collaboratively with key internal and external stakeholders, including industry participants and consumers.

n

Maintain accurate, transparent records, quality assurance manuals, and database systems.

n

Contribute to process improvements and creative solutions within the licensing assessment function.

n

Key Requirements:

n

Qualifications: Current registration (or eligibility for registration) as a Domestic Builder (Unlimited), Building Surveyor, or Building Inspector, paired with extensive industry experience.

n





Technical Expertise: Strong understanding of relevant Victorian building codes, standards, and legislation within a regulatory context.

n

Stakeholder & Communication Skills: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a proven ability to explain complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.

n

Personal Attributes: High level of integrity, strong self-management skills, and a proactive, adaptable mindset.

n

Licensing: A current Victorian Driver's License and willingness to complete standard background checks.

n
