Are you a skilled Catering Equipment Technician looking for a role where no two days are the same?

We are looking for a motivated and customer-focused technician to join our team, servicing, maintaining, installing and repairing commercial catering and food service equipment across customer sites.

This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys problem-solving, working with customers, and keeping critical kitchen equipment running safely and efficiently.

About the Role

n

As a Catering Equipment Technician, you will be responsible for diagnosing faults, completing repairs, carrying out preventative maintenance, and installing and commissioning commercial kitchen equipment.

n

You will work closely with customers and our internal team to deliver reliable, professional and high-quality technical service.

n

What You'll Be Doing

n

Service, Maintenance & Repairs

n

n
- Diagnose and repair commercial catering equipment
n
- Carry out preventative maintenance and servicing
n
- Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, gas, refrigeration and hydraulic faults, where licensed and authorised
n
- Test equipment following repairs
n
- Ensure all work is completed safely and to a high standard
n
- Install and commission commercial kitchen equipment
n
- Complete operational testing and commissioning
n
- Conduct customer handovers and explain equipment operation
n
- Ensure installations meet manufacturer requirements and relevant regulations
n
- Complete installation and service documentation
n

Customer Service

n

n
- Provide professional on-site technical support
n
- Respond promptly to service calls and customer requirements
n
- Explain faults, repairs and maintenance requirements clearly
n
- Build strong and professional customer relationships
n
- Represent the company positively at customer sites
n

n

Service Administration

n





n
- Complete service reports and job records accurately
n
- Record parts, labour and equipment details
n
- Identify required replacement parts
n
- Assist with repair quotations where required
n
- Maintain accurate vehicle stock and parts inventory
n

n

Safety & Compliance

n

n
- Follow all WHS and company safety procedures
n
- Safely isolate and test equipment before commencing work
n
- Correctly use tools, test equipment and PPE
n
- Report hazards, incidents and non-conformances
n
- Maintain compliance with applicable electrical, gas and industry requirements
n

n

What We're Looking For

n

n
- Experience servicing or repairing commercial catering or food service equipment
n
- Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
n
- Ability to read technical manuals, wiring diagrams and schematics
n
- Good communication and customer service skills
n
- Current driver's licence
n
- Electrical licence and/or restricted electrical licence
n
- Ability to work independently and manage service jobs efficiently
n
- Trade qualification in Electrical, Refrigeration, Appliance Service or a related field
n
- Gas fitting licence and/or refrigeration handling licence
n
- Experience with combi ovens, commercial dishwashers, refrigeration and cooking equipment
n
- Experience using service management software or mobile job management systems
n
