Test Technician - Shifts available for Day / Afternoon

Wilson Transformer Company (WTC) is Australia’s largest manufacturer of power and distribution transformer solutions operating two state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities in Melbourne and regional Victoria and service and support offices across Australia. We offer end-to-end transformer solutions, including product specification review, design, manufacture, factory acceptance test, installation, condition monitoring, maintenance and repair services, spare parts and asset disposal.

Based in the Murray River area of Albury/Wodonga, regional Victoria, an opportunity presents itself for a Test Technician to join the Team in the Test Department. Reporting to the Test Engineering Supervisor, this is a hands-on role to ensure products are tested and delivered according to production schedule requirements, on time and to high quality standards.

Key responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

Accurately and efficiently testing transformers to relevant AS / IEC standards. This includes High Voltage Routine,



type and special and Functional testing of Transformers and switch gears.

Working in a HV Test environment.

Comply with Policies, Procedures and Work Instructions.

Work effectively and efficiently in a high-risk environment.

Undertake overtime when required.

Assist with hazard identification and risk control in regard to safety, the setting, product and assets.

Key skills, experience and qualifications include:

Electrical qualification (preferably electrical trade) orequivalent work experience.

Hands-on experience in an electrical trade/environment.

Must be able to read and understand technical drawings.

Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude.

Enthusiasm, adaptability and willingness to learn.

The capacity to fulfil the physical requirements of the role including but not limited to lifting and working at heights.

Being a good team player and be able to communicate effectively.
