This is a part-time front office reception role in the hotel industry. You will be responsible for the efficient running of the hotel during your shift, providing a welcoming service to guests and ensuring an effective handover to the following shift.

Key responsibilities

Provide a welcoming and quality service and experience for guests, checking guests in and out as required

Manage and confirm guest accounts, ensuring all data is accurate and posted in the system as necessary

Take and enter reservations into the operating system

Answer guest queries in a positive, timely and efficient manner, liaising with other departments as necessary

Manage the daily reconciliation of the hotel as necessary

Ensure house security and detect breaches of laws by which the company is governed





Handle disruptive guests and ensure their discreet removal from the property if needed

About you

At least 2 years experience in a similar role in the hotel industry

Focused, reliable and well-organised

Exceptional phone manner and customer service skills

Ability to work under pressure

Eye for detail and ability to pick up systems and procedures in a timely manner

Excellent grooming and presentation standards

Success in a similar role with exposure to front office reception and reservations work

Flexible to work on a 7-day rotating roster

Willing to work mornings, evenings, overnights, weekends and public holidays for 6 months minimum

Necessary rights to work full time in Australia
