Job Description

We're looking for an experienced Restaurant Manager to join the team at Pearl, our beachfront restaurant overlooking Aldinga Beach.

n

This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who loves hospitality — someone who enjoys being on the floor, knows how to lead a great service and takes pride in creating an experience guests want to come back to.

About the Role n

You'll lead the day-to-day operation of the restaurant and our front of house team, working closely with the owners and kitchen to deliver the warm, relaxed and knowledgeable hospitality Pearl is known for.

n

We're looking for someone who can confidently run a busy service while keeping the atmosphere calm, positive and enjoyable for both our guests and team.

n

Lead the restaurant floor, ensuring smooth, efficient and professional service.

n

Maintain Pearl's standards of warm, knowledgeable and attentive hospitality.

n

Develop a strong knowledge of our menus, wine list, producers and suppliers, and support the FOH team in confidently sharing this knowledge and recommending food and wine pairings.

n

Manage daily floor plans, run sheets and table allocations, working closely with the kitchen throughout service.

n

Maintain high standards of restaurant presentation, organisation and safety.

n

Lead and support the restaurant FOH team, fostering a positive, professional and respectful team culture.

n

Train and develop staff in Pearl's service standards, menu knowledge and wine and beverage service.

n

Prepare and manage FOH rosters, considering staffing requirements and labour costs.

n

Assist with recruitment, onboarding and performance management,



providing explicit direction and support to the team.

Guest Experience & Operations n

Oversee reservations and guest enquiries, including large groups and private functions.

n

Engage with guests throughout service and respond professionally to feedback or service issues.

n

Oversee restaurant POS, payments and end-of-day cash reconciliation.

n

Assist with beverage inventory, stock control and ordering.

n

Identify opportunities to improve service, workflow and operational efficiency.
