ABOUT THE ROLE

n

About Space is a proudly Australian lighting business with a growing national presence. We specialise in decorative, custom and commercial lighting solutions for residential, retail and commercial customers.

n

Based at our Campbellfield warehouse, you will work closely with the Warehouse Operations Manager and wider warehouse team to support the smooth, efficient and accurate day-to-day running of the warehouse.

n





As an experienced member of the team, you'll be someone others can rely on for guidance, problem-solving and support when priorities shift or issues arise.

n

Key responsibilities include:

n

n
- Picking, packing and preparing customer and project orders for dispatch
n
- Receiving, checking and putting away incoming stock
n
- Coordinating incoming and outgoing freight
n
- Supporting stock control, stocktakes and inventory accuracy
n
- Maintaining accurate stock locations and warehouse records
n
- Completing product checks and basic assembly where required
n
- Identifying and resolving stock, order and workflow issues
n
- Helping coordinate day‐to‐day warehouse priorities where required
n
- Providing support and guidance to other Warehouse Assistants
n
- Assisting with onboarding and training of new team members
n
- Maintaining high standards of accuracy, organisation, safety and housekeeping
n
- Working closely with other departments to resolve stock and delivery issues
n
- Escalating operational matters to the Warehouse Operations Manager where appropriate
n
- Identifying opportunities to improve warehouse processes and efficiency
n

n

From time to time, the role may also assist with clearance stock, customer collections and warehouse outlet activities.

You are an experienced warehouse professional who takes pride in doing things properly.

n

You are practical, organised and solutions-focused. You can work independently, manage competing priorities and take responsibility for seeing tasks through.

n

You are comfortable stepping up when needed, supporting others and helping maintain strong standards across the warehouse floor.

n

You will ideally bring:

n

n
- 3+ years' experience in a warehouse, logistics or distribution environment
n
- Strong understanding of receiving, dispatch, inventory and stock control
n
- Experience supporting or guiding other warehouse team members
n
- Strong organisational and prioritisation skills
n
- High attention to detail
n
- Practical problem‐solving skills and sound judgement
n
- Confidence using warehouse, inventory, freight and computer systems
n
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
n
- The ability to work independently and take ownership
n
- A reliable and collaborative approach
n
- The physical capability required for warehouse work
n
- Forklift licence highly regarded
n

n

Experience with lighting, furniture, electrical products or similar product‐based environments would be advantageous, but is not essential.
