Job Description

This is a casual, on-call position suited to someone seeking flexible work rather than guaranteed daily hours. Ideally we are looking for someone who has an ABN and their own vehicle to perform this work. Hotshot deliveries are time-critical and require freight to be collected and transported directly to the customer as safely and efficiently as possible. Jobs may involve a small carton, several items or a pallet, depending on the capacity of your vehicle.

Key responsibilities

- Long-distance driving throughout Western NSW and regional areas
n
- Daytime, evening and overnight work
n
- Urgent, direct deliveries with minimal notice
n
- Deliveries to mines, industrial sites and regional businesses
n
- Using the WPE mobile delivery application
n
- Communicating regularly with the WPE operations team
n
- Ensuring freight is safely restrained and delivered in good condition
n

About you

- ABN an advantage
n
- A current Australian driver's licence appropriate for your vehicle
n




- Experience driving safely over long distances
n
- Confidence and experience driving at night
n
- Good knowledge of load restraint requirements
n
- A strong commitment to fatigue management and safe driving
n
- A smartphone and the ability to use a delivery application
n
- Good communication skills and a skilled manner
n
- The ability to work independently and follow instructions
n
- Flexibility to accept work at short notice
