We're a small, privately funded Australian startup making construction and industrial sites safer. Our product is a Bluetooth-connected immobiliser: equipment won't start until the operator completes a digital pre-start inspection using our app, all backed by a cloud platform for fleet managers and safety teams. We're in customer trials, with significant sales opportunities across Australia, New Zealand and North America.
The role
You'll be the person who knows the product best — web app to mobile app to the hardware itself: installation, setup, configuration, maintenance, everyday use and reporting. When a site supervisor can't pair a device, you're the calm voice who sorts it. When Sales needs a technical brain on a call or a demo, that's you too. And when a release goes out, you're the one who made sure it was tested, submitted and protected.
Day to day you'll run support and onboarding, testing and QA, bug triage, app store releases, our customer docs and website, and a steady stream of small dev tasks. You'll build the processes as you go: this is a make-your-own-role kind of job, with a lot of variety and a direct view of every part of the business.
We're an AI-native team — AI tools run through support, testing and development — so you'll use them daily and help run them where they face customers.
What you'll do
- Product expert, support and onboarding: own the inbox across three regions; onboard customer organisations; guide installation, setup and maintenance; run training; troubleshoot app, connectivity and pairing issues; elevate hardware and software faults with repro and logs; help customers with reporting
- Sales bridge: join sales calls and demos as the technical voice; scope pilots and integrations; draft RFP responses and first-pass security questionnaires; run the sales-to-onboarding handoff
- Docs and website: own the customer documentation — install, setup, configuration, maintenance, FAQs, release notes — and keep the website current as the product ships
- Testing and QA: test plans; regression and exploratory testing on real phones and real hardware on a bench rig; automated end-to-end coverage in CI
- Releases: own App Store Connect and Google Play Console end to end; ship patch releases after regression; run staged OTAn firmware rollouts and watch fleet health
- Bug triage and small dev: reproduce, prioritise and investigate; fix small bugs and build internal tooling in TypeScript and Dart, with review
- Compliance operations: keep the day-to-day evidence for our ISO 27001 / SOC 2 program current

- Methodical tester on iOS and Android; can read and debug TypeScript and Dart; at home with logs, SQL, REST APIs and stacktraces
- Have shipped apps through App Store Connect and Google Play Console
- Hands‑on with AI tools daily, and sharp about checking what they produce
- Organised and self‑directed — you'll own your queue and your releases
- Melbourne-based, in our Kew office most days, adaptable for some North American hours, full Australian work rights
The details
