Speech Language Pathologist or Speech Team Lead

As a Speech Language Pathologist, you will provide assessment and evidence-based intervention to children and adolescents with a broad range of communication and swallowing needs. You can apply for either a primarily clinical role or a combination of clinical work and leadership of the SLP team. If interested in the Team Lead position, you will provide clinical leadership and support to the SLP team while maintaining a strong clinical caseload.

Key responsibilities

- Provide assessment and evidence-based intervention to children and adolescents with a broad range of communication and swallowing needs
- Develop individualised treatment plans and work collaboratively with families and other professionals
- Collaborate regularly with Psychology, OT, Play Therapy and AHA teams
- Participate in regular case conferencing and in-house professional development
- Work primarily from the well-resourced Noosaville clinic, with some community visits where clinically appropriate
- Manage a diverse and interesting clinical caseload with a high degree of professional autonomy
- Provide clinical leadership and support to the SLP team (Team Lead position)
- Support team members with clinical decision-making, case discussions and professional development (Team Lead position)
- Help maintain high clinical standards and contribute to the ongoing development of the Speech Pathology service (Team Lead position)

About you

- Speech Language Pathologist with 3+ years of paediatric experience
- Experience working with children and adolescents aged 0-21 years
- Ability to develop individualised treatment plans
- Ability to work collaboratively with families and other professionals
- Experience with case conferencing and professional development participation
- Choice of clinical or Team Lead + clinical role, depending on your experience and career goals
- Regular clinical supervision and support from experienced clinicians
