About the Role

n

Motackle and Outdoors is seeking an experienced and motivated Mail Order Assistant Department Manager to join our team in Coffs Harbour, NSW.

n

This full-time position plays a key role in the day-to-day operation of our growing eCommerce and mail order department. You will assist in leading a team of 5-6 staff while ensuring orders are processed efficiently, customers receive outstanding service, and our operational standards are consistently maintained.

n

The ideal candidate will be a confident people leader with robust problem-solving skills and a professional, customer-focused approach. Knowledge of fishing, products would be highly regarded.

n

Key Responsibilities

n

n
- Assist with the day-to-day management of the eCommerce/mail order department.
n
- Supervise, support and motivate a team of approximately 5-6 staff.
n
- Oversee order processing, and general workflow to ensure effective daily operations.
n
- Provide high-quality customer service, including assisting customers with fishing, camping and outdoor product enquiries.
n
- Resolve customer concerns and workplace issues professionally and efficiently.
n
- Identify opportunities to improve processes, productivity and the overall online sales
n
- Provide coaching and support to team members, promoting a positive, accountable and "can-do" workplace culture.
n
- Work closely with upper management and other departments to support the continued growth of our eCommerce operations.

About You

n

We are looking for someone who is professional, approachable and comfortable leading people in a busy retail and eCommerce environment.

n

Ideally, you will have:

n

n
- Strong leadership,



communication and team-building skills.
n
- Excellent problem-solving, decision-making and conflict-resolution abilities.
n
- Previous experience supervising or managing staff.
n
- Experience in eCommerce, warehousing, mail order, retail operations or a similar environment.
n
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and manage competing demands.
n
- A customer-focused attitude and the ability to communicate confidently with customers and colleagues.
n
- A proactive approach and willingness to take responsibility and get things done.
n

Previous fishing and camping experience is preferred but not essential.

n

Five or more years of relevant eCommerce, warehouse or management experience would be highly regarded; however, we encourage applications from candidates who can demonstrate the right leadership skills, attitude and relevant experience.
