The Role: Accounts & Administration Assistant
The role is to assist our Accounts and Administration team with diverse financial and administrative tasks, including:-
- Daily bank account reconciliations for all trust and office accounts.
- Manage and reconcile credit card transactions.
- Process and manage daily financial transactions, including EFT payments, invoice processing, cash and cheque banking and trust journals.
- Accurately enter supplier invoices and prepare creditor payment runs for authorisation.
- Manage term deposits, including opening, closing and reinvestment of funds.
- Manage and maintain the accounts mailbox, responding to enquiries from colleagues, clients and third parties and resolving issues promptly.
- Manage and liaise with debtors through the firm’s debtor management software.
Who we are seeking:
We need you to:-
- Have legal accounts experience or experience in accounts/finance related role;
- Have the ability to accurately manage your workload in a fast-paced environment;
- Have highly developed written and verbal communication skills;
- Have a proactive mindset and be highly organised;
- Have an understanding of the importance of confidentiality, accuracy and attention to detail;
- Have the characteristics of a team player who can take instructions and work autonomously to deadlines.
Whilst we prefer a candidate with legal accounts experience, we are open to exploring candidates with no experience but who possess an eagerness to learn and a proactive attitude.
