FindStaff is seeking experienced Manual / CNC Machinists to join a leading Australian engineering and industrial services organisation based in Dingley Village.

Supporting customers across the mining, manufacturing, rail, food & beverage and heavy industrial sectors, this organisation specialises in precision machining, rotating equipment services, reliability solutions and engineered maintenance services. About the Role

We are seeking experienced Manual / CNC Machinists to support the manufacture, repair and refurbishment of precision-engineered components within a busy workshop environment. This role offers a combination of manual and CNC machining work, producing high-quality components to exact specifications across a diverse range of industries. Key Responsibilities

- Set up and operate manual lathes, milling machines and grinders
- Perform turning, milling, drilling, tapping, grinding and precision machining operations
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications and technical documentation
- Work to tight tolerances and quality standards
- Set up and operate CNC turning machines
- Load materials and tooling into machines and perform machine changeovers
- Inspect finished components using precision measuring equipment
- Perform machine setups, tooling selection and machining adjustments
- Maintain machinery, tooling and workshop equipment
- Complete quality inspections and associated documentation
- Support apprentices and collaborate with the wider workshop team
- Maintain a clean, organised and safe workshop environment
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and workshop efficiency

Hours

Monday - Thursday:



07:00am - 03:30pm

Friday: 07:00 - 1:00pm

Overtime available at penalty rates

About You

To be successful in this role, you will possess:

- Previous experience operating manual lathes, mills and grinding equipment
- Experience setting up and operating CNC turning machines
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications
- Experience working to tight tolerances and quality requirements
- Robust mechanical aptitude and a passion for hands-on work
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Reliable, punctual and motivated attitude
- Strong focus on workplace safety and safe work practices
- Experience using precision measuring and inspection equipment

Highly Regarded

- Programming experience using Fanuc G & M Code
- CNC programming and troubleshooting experience
- Experience mentoring or supporting apprentices
- Forklift Licence
- Current Driver's Licence
- Experience within heavy industrial, manufacturing or engineering workshop environments
