About Helix College:

Helix College is a Registered Training Organisation based in St Kilda, Melbourne 3004. Currently, we are seeking dedicated and experienced Trainers & Assessors to join our agile team to deliver and assess the following courses:

n

- CPC33020: Certificate III in Bricklaying and Blocklaying
n
- MSF30422: Certificate III in Glass and Glazing
n
- CPC32620: Certificate III in Roof Plumbing
n
- MSF30322: Certificate III in Cabinet Making and Timber Technology
n
- Must hold relevant vocational qualifications at least to the level being delivered and assessed in the required qualification.
n
- A current Trainer and Assessor qualification that meets applicable RTO requirements.
n
- Demonstrated current industry experience relevant to the qualification area.
n
- Sound understanding of the 2025 Standards for RTOs and the National Code 2018.
n
- High level of professionalism, integrity, and attention to compliance requirements.
n
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
n
- Evidence of ongoing professional development in the fields of knowledge and practice of vocational training and learning that informs their training and assessment.
n
- Evidence of professional development and industry engagement within the past 12 months
n
- Experience in handling administrative work related to training and assessment
n




- Prior experience of contextualisation of assessment tools and training materials
n
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
n
- Knowledge of VET legislation including and Standards for RTOs 2025.
n

Key Responsibilities:

n

n
- Develop, prepare, and deliver training sessions and Assessment Strategies (TAS) and relevant training package requirements.
n
- Develop and maintain high-quality learning and assessment resources to support effective training delivery.
n
- Conduct assessments in accordance with the principles of assessment and rules of evidence.
n
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date training and assessment records.
n
- Mark assessments and provide constructive and timely feedback to students.
n
- Respond to student queries and support student engagement with course content.
n
- Monitor and record student attendance, course progress, and assessment outcomes; provide required data to the administration team regularly.
n
- Participate in validation, moderation, and continuous improvement activities.
n
- Contribute to the ongoing development and standardisation of assessment processes.
n
- Support students throughout their learning journey by providing academic guidance and constructive feedback.
n
- Maintain professional currency through ongoing industry engagement and professional development.
