Radiology Victoria (RV) is seeking a Receptionist to join our team at our Knox clinic site. The role will work on a roster within the core hours of 8.30am – 6.00pm Monday – Friday, and also assist at our other community clinic sites at Burwood East and Ashburton as required.

The primary function of this role is to provide excellent and professional customer service to patients and referrers. Our services offer a dynamic environment with opportunity to expand your skills and work in an array of zones within the department. Duties include answering incoming calls, arranging bookings for patients, taking payments, liaising with the hospital to arrange inpatient appointments, and coordinating the reception team roster. The administration team contributes to the overall performance of the department, ensuring consistency with Sonic Healthcare’s core values.

Key selection criteria

People leadership experience in providing outstanding customer service in a reception setting

Flexibility in being able to cover employees going on annual leave, often for block periods up to 1 month

A positive attitude and ability to develop a team culture of high performance

Ability to work autonomously and in a team setting

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills using phone, email, and face-to-face communication

Willingness to take initiative and problem‑solve

Previous experience in a medical / clinic setting.

Certification in medical terminology / medical administration.

Previous Radiology industry experience.
