ABOUT THE ROLE

n

To support our operations, we are seeking an Owner Driver based in Melbourne.
n This is a fast-paced, varied role where no two days are the same. A typical day will include:

n

Collecting and delivering medical inventory on time and in full

n

Building and maintaining relationships with customers (new and existing)

n

Working closely with other Smartways team members

n

Proactively managing the return of loaned medical equipment

n

Preparing freight for transport via third-party carriers within the wider Smartways network

n

You will bring:

n

Strong knowledge of the Victoria region and ability to determine optimal routes

n





A reliable work ethic and team-first mindset

n

Confidence using technology, including phones and basic computer systems

n

Excellent customer service skills with great attention to detail

n

Transparent written and verbal communication skills

n

Availability between 7am and 7pm, Monday to Friday (with ad-hoc weekend work available)

n

WHAT TOOLS ARE REQUIRED?

n

To be successful in this role, you will need:

n

2T vans with Tail lift (or willingness to acquire one)

n

A registered Pty Ltd company (or willingness to establish one prior to commencement)

n

All required insurances (Vehicle, Public Liability, Marine Cargo, etc.)

n

A valid and clean driver's licence

n

Full legal working rights in Australia

n

Willingness to complete a police check and driver history check

n

The ability to operate the contracted vehicle yourself (no subcontracting or third-party supply)

n
