The Program Manager supports the delivery of the Murungidyal program across Wellington, Dubbo and Bathurst. This role supervises Senior Program Facilitators, maintains program documentation, and ensures high-quality, culturally grounded service delivery. The Program Manager oversees day-to-day program operations and supports frontline staff across multiple locations.

More Cultural Rehabs Less Jails (MCRLJ) is a Wiradjuri-led, grassroots organisation dedicated to breaking cycles of intergenerational trauma, substance misuse and incarceration. Founded by Wiradjuri leader Jeff Amatto, the organisation delivers culturally grounded programs that reconnect people to identity, culture, community and hope. Our purpose: connect communities with culture to heal, create hope, and build pathways to the future. We deliver programs across Wellington, Dubbo and Bathurst, including: Darrambal (school-aged youth), Bingjang (youth 12–18), Women's Program, Yindyamarra Healing Men's Group, and Pre-Release Program (incarcerated men and women). Our work is guided by cultural integrity, lived experience, community leadership, and the belief that everyone deserves a second chance.

Key responsibilities

- Support the lead facilitators in the day-to-day program delivery across all locations
- Maintain documentation, case management systems and program materials




- Support the implementation of cultural activities such as camps and community events
- Actively support delivery of sessions across Darrambal, the Women's Program, Bingjang, Men's Group and the Pre-Release program, ensuring case notes, reports, photos and flyers are completed on schedule each week by lead facilitators
- Respond to ad hoc or emerging community program requests, including preparing a brief, budget and staffing resources aligned to the strategic plan
- Provide supervision and professional development to Senior Program Officers across Bathurst, Dubbo and Wellington, including regular documented supervision sessions
- Provide 1:1 support to the facilitation team and mentors, with summaries of sessions provided to the Business Manager and CEO
- Ensure activities align with the Murungidyal model and the approved project plan

About you

- Experience in youth work, community services or program coordination
- Experience supervising staff
- Strong cultural awareness and ability to work respectfully with Aboriginal communities
- Robust organisational and documentation skills
- Ability to work across multiple locations (Wellington, Dubbo and Bathurst)
- Current Working with Children Check, National Police Check and driver's licence
