We’re looking for a dentist to join our team at Hermitage Dental in Port Macquarie and Kempsey 4-5 days per week plus occasional Saturdays, ideally from around November 2026, to cover one of our dentists while she is on maternity leave.

The start date isn’t set in stone and we’re happy to be flexible for the right person.

The big advantage of this position is that you’ll be stepping into an established patient base with full books from the start. There’s no need to spend months trying to build up a patient base – there is plenty of dentistry waiting for you.

Although we’re advertising this initially as maternity leave cover, we’re growing and would love for the right person to stay with us permanently if it works well for everyone.

A little about us

Hermitage Dental is a busy, established practice in Port Macquarie with a great team and a loyal patient base. We provide a broad range of general dentistry and try to keep the atmosphere relaxed, supportive and enjoyable for both our patients and our team.

We are looking for someone who is friendly, easy to work with, takes pride in their dentistry and genuinely cares about their patients.

You’ll have an experienced team around you, plenty of clinical variety and the freedom to develop the areas of dentistry that interest you.

What we’re looking for

You’ll need current AHPRA registration and appropriate qualified indemnity insurance, but beyond that, the right personality and fit with our team is really important to us.

Experience would be great, but we’re also happy to hear from dentists at different stages of their careers.
