Job Description

RRC Australia's client is seeking an experienced Linehaul Coordinator to take ownership of the day-to-day coordination of a busy transport operation.

This position is suited to someone who enjoys being at the centre of operations — keeping drivers on track, maintaining high safety standards, dealing with customer requirements and making sure issues are addressed before they impact the operation.

n

You'll play an key role in coordinating drivers and subcontractors while ensuring the operation remains compliant, productive and customer-focused.

n

The Opportunity

n

In this role, you will be responsible for the day-to-day coordination of transport activities, with a strong focus on driver management, safety, compliance and service delivery.

n

Your responsibilities will include (but not limited to):

n

- Overseeing daily transport activities and coordinating driver requirements.
n
- Allocating work and resources to achieve operational and customer requirements.
n
- Supporting and managing a team of company and subcontractor drivers.
n
- Reviewing driver documentation, hours, breaks and run information for accuracy.
n
- Monitoring driver compliance with fatigue management, safety and Chain of Responsibility requirements.
n
- Coordinating vehicle inspections, servicing, repairs and fault reporting.
n
- Working directly with customers to address operational matters and maintain service standards.
n
- Identifying and resolving issues that arise throughout the day.
n
- Conducting toolbox talks and supporting ongoing safety initiatives.
n
- Monitoring driver performance, attendance and compliance.
n




- Ensuring required operational, HR and compliance documentation is completed accurately and on time.
n
- Assisting with improving operational efficiency and controlling unnecessary costs.
n
- Providing support to the wider operations team when required, including occasional after-hours assistance.

About You

n

We're looking for a confident transport professional who can take ownership of an operation and lead from the front.

n

You will ideally have:

n

n
- Previous experience in a transport, logistics or fleet coordination environment.
n
- Experience supervising or leading drivers, contractors or operational teams.
n
- A sound understanding of heavy vehicle compliance, WHS and Chain of Responsibility.
n
- Strong organisational and administrative skills.
n
- The ability to interpret driver documentation and identify discrepancies.
n
- Excellent communication skills and the confidence to deal with drivers, customers and management.
n
- A practical approach to problem solving and decision making.
n
- The ability to work independently while contributing effectively to a wider team.
n
- Robust attention to detail and a high level of accountability.
n
- The ability to remain composed and effective in a fast-moving environment.
n
- An HC Licence and heavy vehicle experience would be highly regarded.
n
