JR Richards & Sons is seeking a Transactional Services Analyst to join our busy Finance team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys a combination of financial analysis, reporting, reconciliations, stakeholder engagement and continuous improvement while supporting the broader Transactional Services function.
About the Role
Reporting to the Transactional Services Manager, you will work closely with our Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable and Administration teams to support key finance activities, reporting obligations and business initiatives.
You will play an important role in month-end and year-end processes, financial analysis, cash flow forecasting, audit preparation and performance reporting while identifying opportunities to improve efficiencies across the Transactional Services function.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform complex debtor and vendor reconciliations.
- Analyse and report on Daily Sales Outstanding (DSO) performance.
- Prepare and submit Payment Times Reporting Scheme (PTRS) reporting.
- Monitor and analyse Aged Trial Balance (ATB) performance and debtor risk.
- Manage bad debt reviews, recommendations and write-off processing.
- Maintain and analyse cash flow forecasts and trends.
- Prepare monthly financial reports and commentary.
- Support month-end, year-end and audit activities.
- Identify and implement process improvement initiatives.
- Provide ad hoc reporting, analysis and project support.
- Collaborate across departments to support business objectives and operational efficiency.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Minimum 2 years' experience in a similar finance or accounting role.
- Strong knowledge of Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable and accounting principles.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and strong proficiency across the Microsoft Office suite.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet strict deadlines.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- A proactive approach with a continuous improvement mindset.
- Ability to work independently while contributing positively to a team environment.
