The Foundry is well known in Ballarat for boutique shopping at its best. Situated within the walls of an historic brass foundry from the gold rush days, The Foundry offers a unique shopping experience. You will find a wide selection of curated homewares, gifts, women’s clothing and jewellery. The shop also has an in-house café.

We are looking for an experienced barista, preferably with retail experience, to fill a part-time casual position with an immediate start. The successful candidate will have the ability to work seamlessly between the in-house café and on the shop floor. If you are a team player who loves people and creating a outstanding customer experience, we’d love to hear from you.

Key responsibilities of the position:

- Barista duties including keeping the cafe work area clean and organised, wiping down tables, sanitising equipment, and disposing of waste properly




- Retail duties including assisting with unpacking and pricing deliveries and merchandising stock
- Proactively developing strong product knowledge to best assist customers and develop customer relationships
- Collaborating with other team members to ensure a positive work environment and customer shopping experience
- Processing sales accurately and efficiently with EFTPOS terminals
- Keeping the store and cafe clean and well presented

About you

- At least 2 years' barista experience, with retail experience considered a plus
- Availability for work at least 2 days during the week plus Saturdays
- Reliable and trustworthy with a focus on excellent customer service
