About the Role

n

Samkay Health is currently seeking applications from dedicated and experienced Registered Nurses (Division 1) to provide care to our residents in an individual, flexible, and customer-focused manner.

n

Current AHPRA registration as a Division 1 Registered Nurse is required at the time of application.

n





The opportunity will provide 2-4 shifts a week.

n

Applicants must have valid Australian work rights, including citizenship, permanent residency, or a valid work visa.

n

Key Responsibilities

n

n
- Provide full clinical oversight of your team while on shift, ensuring compliance with the 24/7 Registered Nurse requirement
n
- Deliver high-quality nursing care meeting the mandated care minutes of direct RN care per resident per day
n
- Oversee all specialized nursing care with a hands-on approach focused on customer service and leadership
n
- Demonstrate resident advocacy while ensuring dignity of residents in your care under the new Statement of Rights
n

Clinical Leadership & Care Delivery

n

n

Documentation & Compliance

n

- Complete all clinical reporting and documentation to meet Aged Care Act 2024 and Aged Care Rules 2025 requirements
n
- Ensure consistent compliance with the Strengthened Aged Care Quality Standards and Samkay Health policies and procedures
n
- Maintain excellent documentation skills, reporting, and note-keeping
n
- Work with AN-ACC Funding model requirements and documentation
n

n

Team Management & Safety

n

n
- Attend staff training and provide support to all care staff
n
- Ensure all staff adhere to safe practices and follow all WHS requirements
n
- Work closely with Management to maintain quality standards and regulatory compliance
n
- Foster reliability, flexibility, and positive team culture in a busy aged care environment
n

n

Family & Stakeholder Engagement

n

n
- Handle case conferencing and family liaison with empathy and professionalism
n
- Maintain polite and empathetic communication with residents, families, and colleagues
n
- Demonstrate solid problem-solving abilities in complex care situations
n

n

Knowledge & Experience

n

n
- Knowledge of the Strengthened Aged Care Quality Standards
n
- Understanding of the new Aged Care Act 2024 and associated obligations
n
- Prior experience and understanding of AN-ACC Funding model
n
- Understanding of the Australian Aged Care accreditation process
n
- Experience working in aged care settings
n
- Minimum of 1-2 years experience working in aged care settings is required
