The Insurance Stand is seeking an ambitious Assistant Account Executive with approximately 1–3 years' experience within the general insurance industry who is ready to progress beyond traditional broker support and develop into a commercial insurance broker.

This is an opportunity to work closely with the Principal Broker of a growing specialist brokerage, gaining direct exposure to clients, insurers, renewals, new business and a diverse range of commercial risks.

You’ll continue to develop your technical insurance knowledge while progressively taking greater ownership of client relationships and your own portfolio, with a genuine pathway towards becoming an Account Executive.

About you

We’re looking for someone who has established a solid foundation in insurance and is now ready for greater responsibility.

Ideally, you will have:

- Approximately 1–3 years' experience within general insurance or insurance broking
- Experience in a Broker Assistant, Broker Support, Assistant Account Executive, Account Assistant, underwriting or similar insurance role
- Exposure to commercial insurance products
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent attention to detail and organisation
- Confidence communicating with clients, insurers and other stakeholders
- A proactive approach and willingness to take ownership of your work
- A genuine desire to build a long-term career in commercial insurance broking

Tier 1 or Tier 2 insurance qualifications will be highly regarded. Further professional development and training will be supported as part of the role.
