About the role

We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Store Manager for our Dollars and Sense store located in Gracemere, Queensland. This is a full-time position that offers an exciting opportunity to lead a retail store and drive its performance. As Store Manager, you will be responsible for all aspects of store operations, team management, and delivering exceptional customer service. This role is pivotal in ensuring the store meets its commercial objectives whilst maintaining a motivated and professional team. You will report directly to senior management and have the autonomy to make decisions that positively impact store performance and customer satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

- Oversee all daily store operations, ensuring smooth and efficient functioning of the store
- Lead, manage, and motivate a team of retail staff, providing coaching, training, and performance management
- Achieve and exceed sales targets and key performance indicators through effective planning and execution
- Manage store budgets, including stock control, pricing, and cost management
- Maintain visual merchandising standards and ensure the store is well-presented and organised
- Deliver outstanding customer service standards and resolve customer complaints professionally
- Recruit, onboard, and develop team members to build a strong, capable workforce
- Monitor inventory levels, coordinate stock deliveries,



and minimise shrinkage
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and relevant retail regulations
- Analyse sales data and implement strategies to drive profitability and customer loyalty
- Liaise with head office and other store locations to share best practices and information

What we’re looking for

- Proven experience as a Store Manager or in a similar senior retail management position
- Strong leadership and people management skills with the ability to motivate and develop team members
- Excellent commercial awareness and demonstrated ability to achieve sales targets and manage budgets
- Proficiency in retail systems and point-of-sale technology
- Strong organisational and problem-solving skills with the ability to multitask in a rapid-paced environment
- Exceptional customer service orientation and experience in handling customer relations
- Knowledge of retail operations, including stock management, merchandising, and visual display
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work flexibly, including evenings and weekends as required
- High level of reliability, integrity, and professional conduct
- Preferred: Experience in variety retail or discount retail environments
