About the Role

n

As a Junior Draftsperson, you will work alongside our experienced drafting and production teams, receiving guidance and on-the-job training while developing your technical knowledge and drafting skills.

n

Your responsibilities will include:

n

n
- Assisting with the preparation of electrical schematics and general arrangement drawings.
n
- Creating and updating drawings using AutoCAD.
n
- Making drawing revisions in accordance with customer and production requirements.
n
- Learning the design and construction requirements of electrical switchboards.
n
- Working closely with our drafting, estimating and production teams.
n
- Assisting with preparing accurate drawings for customer approval and manufacturing.
n
- Developing an understanding of relevant Australian Standards, including AS/NZS 3000 and AS/NZS 61439.
n
- Ensuring drawings and documentation are completed accurately and within required timeframes.

About You

n

We're looking for someone who is eager to learn,



takes pride in their work and wants to develop a long-term career in drafting and electrical design.

Ideally, you will have:

n

n
- Basic knowledge or experience using AutoCAD.
n
- A qualification, certificate or studies in drafting, engineering, electrical or a related field or a genuine interest in developing a career within the industry.
n
- Good computer and technical skills.
n
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
n
- Good communication and organisational skills.
n
- The ability to follow instructions while also developing confidence to work independently.
n
- A reliable and punctual approach to work.
n
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn.
n
- The ability to work effectively as part of a team.
n

Previous electrical switchboard experience is not essential – training and support will be provided to the right candidate.
