We are currently seeking an experienced and motivated Retail Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our busy Penrith store. This is a full time, ongoing position suited to a hands-on retail professional with strong leadership, customer service and operational management skills.

n

Key Responsibilities

n

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

n

n
- Overseeing the daily operations of the store and ensuring that it is clean, well-presented and compliant with Sushi Hub brand requirements and food safety standards;
n
- Recruiting, training, rostering, supervising and managing kitchen and front-of-house employees across the store's extended trading hours;
n
- Monitoring staff performance, providing feedback and identifying training and development needs;
n
- Monitoring inventory levels, placing stock orders and managing wastage to maintain product quality and freshness while controlling operational costs;
n
- Leading the team to deliver consistent, high-quality customer service and resolving customer enquiries and complaints promptly and professionally;
n
- Ensuring compliance with food safety, hygiene, work health and safety and other relevant regulatory requirements, including undertaking regular store inspections;
n
- Preparing and managing the store's operational budget,



monitoring expenditure and implementing appropriate cost-control measures;
n
- Overseeing cash-handling procedures and reconciling daily sales transactions;
n
- Implementing local pricing, promotional and merchandising initiatives to increase sales and profitability;
n
- Analysing sales, staffing, inventory and wastage data;
n
- Preparing regular reports on store performance and providing operational recommendations to the Director; and
n
- Identifying and implementing opportunities to improve customer satisfaction, sales performance and operational efficiency.

Position Requirements

n

To be considered for this position, applicants must have:

n

n
- Completion of a Diploma-level qualification or higher;
n
- At least one year of relevant experience in a similar retail management or store management role within the fast-food, food retail or hospitality industry;
n
- Sound knowledge of Japanese cuisine, sushi products, food handling and food safety standards;
n
- Strong leadership, communication and staff management skills;
n
- Sound organisational and operational management skills, including stock and cost control; and
n
- A reliable and motivated approach, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and across a rotating roster when required.
