Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Portfolio Manager to join an Investment Manager based in Brisbane, responsible for overseeing the performance, strategy, and risk management of a diversified portfolio. This role sits at the intersection of investment strategy, asset performance, and stakeholder management, with accountability for driving risk-adjusted returns across the portfolio.

The successful candidate will work closely with acquisitions, asset management, and capital markets teams to ensure portfolio construction aligns with investment objectives and market conditions.

Key Responsibilities:

- Own portfolio-level strategy across sectors
n
- Optimise asset allocation, capital deployment, and risk exposure in line with mandate
n
- Monitor concentration limits, leverage, liquidity, and diversification metrics
n
- Provide recommendations on hold/sell/refinance decisions at a portfolio level
n

n

Performance & Risk Management

n

n
- Oversee portfolio performance against benchmarks, budgets, and return hurdles
n
- Identify performance drivers and underperforming assets and recommend corrective actions
n
- Conduct portfolio stress testing, scenario analysis, and sensitivity modelling
n

n

Investment Oversight

n

n
- Partner with acquisitions teams on underwriting,



capital allocation, and investment committee submissions
n
- Review and challenge assumptions in asset-level business plans and valuations
n
- Provide portfolio context to new investment opportunities and capital recycling initiatives
n

n

Stakeholder & Reporting

n

n
- Prepare and present portfolio insights to Investment Committee, senior management, and investors
n
- Oversee portfolio-level reporting, forecasts, and attribution analysis
n
- Engage with external managers, valuers, advisors, and joint venture partners as required
n

n

Market & Research

n

n
- Monitor macroeconomic trends, property markets, capital markets, and regulatory developments
n
- Translate market insights into portfolio strategy and positioning decisions
n

n

Skills & Experience:

n

Required

n

n
- 5+ years' experience in investments, portfolio management, asset management, or funds management
n
- Strong understanding of real estate credit strategies and portfolio construction
n
- Advanced financial modelling, valuation, and return analysis skills
n
- Proven experience presenting to investment committees or senior stakeholders
n
- Solid commercial judgement and risk awareness
