About the Role n

As a Sawmill Operator, you'll play a key role in the safe and efficient operation of advanced sawmilling equipment and production systems.

Your responsibilities will include: n

- Operating and monitoring modern sawmilling equipment (installed 2026)
n
- Using computerised controls and production monitoring systems
n
- Monitoring machine performance, timber flow and product quality
n
- Identifying faults, abnormalities and potential equipment issues
n
- Supporting basic troubleshooting and working closely with the Engineering team
n
- Completing pre-start checks and reporting equipment defects
n
- Responding quickly and safely to production interruptions
n
- Contributing ideas to improve safety, quality,



uptime and efficiency
n
- Maintaining a clean, organised and safe work area
n
- Working as part of a reliable, safety-focused production team
n

About You n

You will bring:

- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving ability
n
- Experience operating industrial, manufacturing, or civil equipment
n
- Confidence working with technology and automated systems
n
- A safety-first mindset and strong work ethic
n
- Reliability, accountability and a positive team attitude
n
- A willingness to learn and develop new skills
n
- Timber industry and/or automated manufacturing experience (desirable)
n
- A trade qualification in Engineering, Saw Doctoring, Wood Machining or a related mechanical field (highly desirable)
