Job Description

We are looking for an experienced and motivated Leading Hand Civil Pipe Layer to join our a client Immediately
n This is a hands-on leadership role suited to someone who has strong experience in civil pipe laying, drainage and underground services and is confident leading a crew while maintaining high standards of safety, quality and productivity.
n About the Role As a Leading Hand, you will be responsible for supervising and working alongside your crew to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently and to specification.
n Key responsibilities include:

n

- Lead and supervise civil pipe laying crews on site
n
- Set out and install stormwater, sewer and drainage systems
n
- Read and interpret plans, drawings and levels
n
- Ensure works are completed to project specifications and quality standards
n
- Coordinate daily tasks and communicate with Site Supervisors and Project Managers
n
- Operate and work around excavators, trenching equipment and other civil machinery
n
- Carry out trenching, bedding, pipe installation, backfilling and associated civil works
n
- Maintain a strong focus on site safety and environmental requirements
n




- Complete daily paperwork and site documentation where required
n

What We're Looking For

The successful candidate will have:

n

n
- Proven experience as a Civil Pipe Layer / Leading Hand
n
- Strong knowledge of civil drainage and underground services
n
- Ability to read plans, drawings and levels
n
- Experience leading a small crew
n
- Strong understanding of civil construction practices
n
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
n
- A strong commitment to workplace health and safety
n
- Reliable transport and a strong work ethic
n
- Relevant tickets and qualifications are highly regarded
n
- White Card required
n
- Excavator, skid steer, confined space, or other relevant tickets highly regarded
n
