Do you love private practice, but not necessarily the way private practice is sometimes done?

Maybe you're tired of being expected to simply fill your calendar.

Maybe you want more say over the referrals you accept, the clients you work with and how you structure your week.

Or perhaps you work in a "multidisciplinary" environment, but still feel like you're practising in isolation, with very little genuine collaboration between the people involved in a client's care.

If you're looking for greater autonomy, meaningful clinical work and a practice where you're valued for what you bring, we might be a good fit.

Who we're looking for

n

We're looking for a psychologist who is thoughtful, curious and genuinely invested in their clinical work.

n

Someone who wants autonomy, but also values being part of something.

n

You might already have your own private caseload and we're completely comfortable with that. In fact, we want you to continue building it.

n

Our hybrid model allows you to work from our South Yarra consulting space with your own clients, while also working as a subcontractor with Reconnect Centre and accepting Reconnect referrals that fit your clinical interests and capacity.

We're particularly interested in someone who:

- Works relationally, emotion-focused, experientially and/or somatically
n
- Is interested in persistent pain, chronic illness, trauma and the relationship between emotional and physical symptoms
n
- Values depth and curiosity over simply applying a protocol
n
- Wants autonomy over their caseload and is comfortable working independently
n
- Is motivated to continue learning and developing clinically
n
- Values collaboration and respects what different disciplines bring to a client's care
n




- Wants to contribute to a growing practice rather than simply work within one

About Reconnect Centre

Reconnect Centre is a growing psychology practice specialising in persistent pain, chronic illness, trauma and emotional wellbeing.

n

We believe there is a significant gap in the way people experiencing persistent physical symptoms are supported.

n

Psychological care shouldn't sit in a silo. Neither should physiotherapy, medicine or any other discipline.

n

We want to build genuine collaboration around the client, where clinicians communicate, understand one another's roles and work towards a shared goal rather than competing to provide the answer.

And we want to build a workplace that reflects those same principles.

That means treating clinicians like professionals: respecting their judgement, their boundaries, their capacity and the value they bring.

The opportunity

This is a flexible subcontractor/private practice arrangement from our South Yarra clinic.

n

You can bring and continue building your own caseload while having access to suitable Reconnect referrals.

n

Our referral streams include private clients, Medicare, WorkSafe, DVA and some NDIS clients, with presentations spanning persistent pain, chronic illness, trauma and broader emotional difficulties.

n

We're not looking for someone to simply fill a calendar. We're looking for someone who wants to grow alongside us.

The essentials

n

You'll need to be an AHPRA-registered psychologist with appropriate professional indemnity insurance and the ability to practise independently.

n

Experience in persistent pain is valuable, but it isn't essential. Genuine interest, clinical alignment and a willingness to develop in this area matter more.
