Northern Health are seeking applications from motivated and suitably experienced Team Leader to join the Outpatients Department.

Northern Health is the major provider of acute, maternity, sub-acute, mental health, specialist, community and home-based services in Melbourne’s rapidly growing outer north.

Services are provided through our six main campuses:

Northern Hospital Epping, Broadmeadows Hospital, Bundoora Centre, Craigieburn and Mernda Community Hospitals Centres and Kilmore District Hospital.In addition, Mental Health Services are provided at Epping, Broadmeadows, Jacana, Preston, Mill Park,Merndaand Coburg.

About the Role:

In this role you will be responsible for administration workforce management and ensuring administration processes are effective and standardised with teams operating across all Northern Health sites.

This role is responsible for overseeing and supporting team operations through effective supervision, mentoring, and performance management.

Manage rostering, recruitment, and managing leave to ensure fair and adequate coverage throuhgout the sites.

Coordinate effective daily workflows, referrals, and appointments to meet service demands.

Monitor service quality, data integrity, and departmental KPIs in line with national and DHHS standards.





Contribute to accurate data reporting and provide leadership coverage and flexibility across administrative roles as required.

To be successful in this role you will have:

- Demonstrated experience in leading an admin workforce in a healthcare environment.
- Demonstrated experience supporting staff to achieve performance and activity targets.
- Experience with compiling, presenting and basic analysis of data.
- Ability to prioritise own workload, multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines.
- Demonstrated undertaking of continued professional development in activities related to the role, for example train the trainer, supervision.
- Ability to engage and work collaboratively with a wide range of people.
- Be available to work over the various campuses at Northern Health.
