The Role

The role of an E&I; Technician you will be responsible for providing safe, reliable and responsive electrical and instrumentation maintenance across well site facilities within the Surat Basin.

Key Responsibilities:

- Carrying out planned, preventative and breakdown maintenance across well site electrical and instrumentation equipment.
- Fault finding, diagnostics, testing and repair of electrical, instrumentation and control systems.
- Maintaining and troubleshooting field instrumentation, control systems, telemetry and associated equipment.
- Performing electrical installations, modifications and maintenance in accordance with relevant standards, procedures and site requirements.
- Completing routine inspections, testing and calibration of electrical and instrumentation equipment.
- Responding to breakdowns and maintenance requests across the well field in a timely and professional manner.
- Accurately completing maintenance records, work orders and relevant documentation.




- Working closely with the maintenance and operations teams to minimise equipment downtime and maintain production reliability.
- Identifying potential equipment issues and contributing to preventative maintenance and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Understand and comply with HSEQ systems and processes, including Life Saving Rules.
- Establish positive and productive working relationships with key stakeholders and embrace a learner mindset that seeks continuous improvement.

Qualifications:

- Certificate III in Electrotechnology
- QLD Electrical Licence – Fitter and Mechanic
- Certificate III Instrumentation
- EEHA Certificate
- LVR/CPR
- High Voltage Switching Certificate
- Open Drivers Licence
- High Risk Work Licence – WP

Experience:

- Previous experience working on well field maintenance contracts, including preventative, corrective and breakdown maintenance of electrical and instrumentation equipment
- Ability to work autonomously in remote field locations, with a strong focus on safety compliance, quality and client requirements.
- 3- 5 years’ experience in same or similar position
