The Union Dairy Company has an annual processing capacity of 300 million liters of raw milk and began production in 2017. Located in Penola, South Australia – the purpose-built plant provides a state-of-the‐art factory and is the newest of its kind in the southern hemisphere.

The Union Dairy Company (UDC), part of the Midfield Group, is currently seeking an experienced Finance Assistant to join our team based in Warrnambool, Victoria.

n

Main Duties & Responsibilities

n

n
- Prepare and process milk supplier payments accurately and within agreed payment schedules
n
- Verify milk volumes, rates, adjustments and other payment inputs against approved supporting information
n
- Reconcile milk movements and volumes between operational and finance records
n
- Investigate and resolve payment discrepancies, volume or value variances and other outstanding items
n
- Process supplier invoices, customer invoices and credit notes accurately and on time
n
- Assist with supplier and customer account reconciliations, payment processing and follow-up of outstanding items
n
- Assist with month-end activities, reconciliations and finance reporting as required
n
- Maintain accurate records,



supporting documentation and current work instructions
n
- Support finance process improvements and complete other finance administration and ad hoc tasks as required
n

Skills & Experiences

n

n
- Relevant practical experience in finance or accounts administration
n
- Experience in accounts payable, accounts receivable, payment processing or similar finance activities
n
- High attention to detail and solid numerical and reconciliation skills
n
- Good Excel and data entry skills
n
- Experience using accounting or ERP systems
n
- Ability to manage deadlines and high-volume transactions
n
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
n
- High level of professionalism, confidentiality and integrity
n
- Dairy sector experience is desirable
n
- Relevant practical experience may be considered in place of formal qualifications
n
