Melbourne Generators is experiencing rapid growth, and we're looking for an experienced A-Grade Electrician with robust, hands-on generator experience to join our team and play a key technical role in the next stage of our business.

n

This is not your standard electrical maintenance role.

n

You'll work across an exciting mix of large-scale generators, synchronised power systems, major events and concerts, essential infrastructure, industrial shutdowns, temporary power, permanent standby systems and emerging BESS technology.

n

We're looking for someone who knows generators, enjoys solving technical problems and wants the opportunity to take real ownership.

The Role

n

As our Technical Lead Electrician, you'll become one of the go-to technical people within Melbourne Generators.

n

Your work will include:

n

n
- Generator electrical fault finding and diagnostics
n
- Generator connections and disconnections
n
- Testing and commissioning generator systems
n
- Synchronising generators and setting up load-sharing systems
n
- Programming, configuring and fault finding generator controllers
n
- Working with ComAp controllers and remote monitoring
n
- AMF and automatic transfer systems
n
- Large-scale temporary electrical distribution
n
- Major event and concert installations
n
- Industrial shutdowns and essential infrastructure projects
n
- Permanent standby generator installations
n
- Load-bank testing and commissioning
n
- BESS and hybrid power systems
n
- Technical standby and emergency response
n
- Developing and improving preventative maintenance programs
n
- Investigating recurring faults and identifying root causes
n
- Improving fleet reliability and readiness
n
- Working directly with clients to solve technical challenges
n
- Supporting and mentoring other team members
n
- Helping develop our technical procedures,



standards and systems
n

Who We're Looking For

n

Generator experience is essential.

n

You must be a qualified A-Grade Electrician with a current Victorian electrical licence and have proven hands-on experience working with diesel generators and power-generation systems.

n

Experience with generator synchronising, load sharing, controller configuration, commissioning and complex fault finding will be highly regarded.

n

ComAp experience is preferred, although we also want to hear from experienced generator electricians who have worked extensively with other generator control platforms.
