Business Development & Key Account Manager

You will be responsible for developing and managing a portfolio of business customers across a broad range of industries. Your focus will be on both new business development and ongoing account growth. This is a B2B sales role focused on building, managing and growing a valuable portfolio of commercial and trade customers through new customer acquisition, account development and long-term client relationships.

Key responsibilities

Actively prospecting and securing new commercial and trade accounts

Building and maintaining your own portfolio of customers

Developing strong, long-term relationships with key decision-makers

Identifying opportunities to increase sales within existing accounts

Re-engaging inactive and previous customers

Conducting regular face-to-face customer visits

Making proactive outbound sales and follow-up calls

Preparing pricing, quotations and commercial proposals

Following up opportunities and converting them into ongoing business

Maintaining an active and measurable sales pipeline





About you

Demonstrated success in B2B sales, business development or key account management

A proven history of achieving or exceeding sales targets and KPIs

Experience developing and growing a portfolio of commercial customers

Strong prospecting and recent‑business development skills

The confidence to approach businesses and key decision-makers

Excellent relationship-building and negotiation skills

Strong follow-up and organisational skills

A commercially focused mindset

The ability to work independently and be accountable for results

A current driver's licence
