Our new Shapland Swim School at Redbank Plains is seeking a qualified teacher and a trainee teacher to join our team of dedicated professionals at our swim school located in Redbank Plains, QLD. This is a casual position, with the opportunity to work in a supportive and energetic environment. Must be available to work Saturday and from 6.30am during the week.
What you'll be doing
- Providing high-quality swimming lessons to swimmers of all ages and abilities
- Developing and implementing lesson plans that cater to the individual needs of each student
- Ensuring the safety and well-being of all students during lessons
- Maintaining accurate student records and providing feedback to parents/guardians
- Assisting with the setup and pack-up of equipment as needed
What we're looking for
- Enthusiasm and a genuine passion for swimming and teaching
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team and independently
- Willingness to learn and develop your skills as a swimming teacher
- A current WWCC (Working with Children Check) or the ability to obtain one
- Previous experience in coaching or teaching swimming is desirable, but not essential
- Recognised swimming instructor qualification required for qualified teacher positions.
- Valid Australian work authorisation required if from overseas.

Trainee wages
- You will be paid while training at age appropriate wages of Level 1 of the fitness industry award, once qualified the rate will go up.
- Must have a car available for use.
Qualified teachers
- Will be paid according to number of years taught in the industry.
