About The Company n

An established Tier 1 engineering consultancy with a very strong technical reputation and a major pipeline of complex projects across Australia. The Sydney Mechanical team is growing and is looking for an Associate-level engineer who wants to work on projects that are genuinely interesting and technically challenging.

You’ll Be Working Across Sectors Including n

n
- Defence & secure facilities
n
- Data Centres - including hyperscale projects
n
- Transport - Sydney Metro and Sydney Airport
n
- Sport & Entertainment - major stadium projects
n
- Healthcare, life sciences and other specialist developments
n

n

There is also major work associated with upcoming stadium and Olympic-related projects in Brisbane, alongside ongoing airport and transport projects in Sydney.

About The Role n

This is an Associate-level project role, with plenty of autonomy and the opportunity to take ownership of technically complex projects.

You'll Be n

n
- Leading mechanical design on major projects from concept through to delivery
n
- Working with clients, architects and multidisciplinary teams
n
- Providing technical direction and mentoring to engineers
n
- Managing your own projects and taking responsibility for delivery
n
- Identifying opportunities with existing clients and helping turn good work into repeat business
n
- Working alongside some exceptionally technical engineers across the wider business
n

You don't need to have worked on data centres, defence or transport projects already.



The right technical background is more important, and the team can develop the sector-specific knowledge.

What They're Looking For n

We're particularly interested in Mechanical Engineers who have:

n

n
- Strong technical Building Services design experience
n
- Experience working on complex or technically challenging projects
n
- Ideally, experience within a Tier 1 consultancy
n
- A background in areas such as healthcare, hospitals, life sciences, defence, transport, data centres or other specialist projects
n
- The ability to take ownership and work with a good level of autonomy
n
- Strong client-facing and communication skills
n
- The commercial awareness to recognise opportunities and understand when to bring work back into the business
n
- A genuine interest in producing high-quality technical work
n

n

Australian Citizenship is highly desirable due to the nature of some of the defence and data security projects, although it isn't an absolute requirement.
